Compensation

Competitive Pay Programs

Salaries are competitive for each position and periodic pay increases are based on performance. Each employee's performance is reviewed after his or her 90-day adjustment period. All employees receive a performance and salary review at least once a year.

Educational Assistance/Tuition Reimbursement Program

Asahi/America encourages participation in outside educational programs as long as the subjects and degrees are job-related. Asahi will reimburse certain costs to the employee after the successful completion of the course. Reimbursement amounts are based on the grades received and dependent upon receipted bills from the institution. Books are not covered.

Credit Union/Direct Deposit

Asahi/America offers its own Credit Union affiliation with Metropolitan Credit Union of Chelsea, MA. The company encourages direct deposit as an added convenience to its employees.

Profit Sharing/401(k) Plan

Asahi/America's profit sharing plan has been in operation since 1985 and is available to every eligible employee who works three months depending on date of hire. Under the 401(k) plan, the employee has the opportunity to defer a portion of his or her annual pay, pre-tax into a savings account. Statements are issued quarterly.

MBO Bonus Plan

Asahi/America has set up a Bonus Plan to reward the achievements and goals of its employees that go above and beyond their normal work. Each employee selects these goals themselves, which are defined as personally enriching as well as career-oriented goals. After successful completion of all MBO goals, which are subject to approval by a supervisor, a bonus totaling a discretionary percentage of the employee's salary will be awarded at the end of the year.
