Asahi/America's thermoplastic valves provide a dependable and economical way to handle corrosive chemicals, including sulfuric and hydrofluoric acid, nitric acid, oxidizing chemicals, caustics, solvents, halogens, and various other hostile fluids. They perform at temperatures up to 250°F, pressures up to 230 psi, and flows up to 18,500 gpm. All valves meet or exceed ANSI Class 6 shut-off.
Quarter turn valve with hyperbolic flow characteristic, low pressure drops and reliable sealing. Poor flow control, typically used in on/off applications with very little to no suspended solids. Multiport™ valves used for diverting, splitting lines and mixing.
Operation:
Lever operation, electrical actuation (all sizes), pneumatic actuation (all sizes)
Quarter turn valve with equal percentage type flow characteristic. Moderate flow control, can be used for both on/off and modulating service. Good tolerance to suspended solids but not recommended for use with slurries or debris.
Multi turn valve with linear type flow characteristic. Good flow control, can be used for both on/off and modulating service. High tolerance to suspended solids, excellent for slurry service and high resistance to clogging due to debris. Bonnet can be removed for cleaning out valve.
Backflow prevention valve operated with swing arm and disc assembly. Requires backpressure to seal, can be installed horizontally or vertically. Optional spring assist or lever and weight assemblies are available for water hammer mitigation. Features removable bonnet for easy cleaning/clearing of obstructions. More tolerant to suspended solids and debris than ball checks.
Common Industries:
Chemical Processing, Bleach Plants, Aquariums, Mining, Water Treatment, Landfills, Swimming Pools, Power Plants
Backflow prevention valve operated using a ball and seat assembly. Requires a minimum of 5 psi backpressure to seal, can be installed horizontally or vertically in any orientation. Optional spring assist available for water hammer mitigation. Works ok with suspended solids, but not recommended for installations that may carry debris. Available as a "foot valve" with a screen for pump/process intakes.
Common Industries:
Chemical Processing, Bleach Plants, Aquariums, Mining, Water Treatment, Swimming Pools
Backflow prevention valve operated with a disc assembly. Fits between two flanges with no valve bolting required. Can be installed both horizontally or vertically and without spacers. Available with spring assist for quick closing. Low sealing/opening pressure and minimal head loss.
Common Industries:
Chemical Processing, Aquariums, Mining, Water Treatment, Landfills, Power Plants
Full port valve with a sealing plug that lifts fully out of the flow path when the valve is open. Includes a drain plug at the base of the valve for cleaning out accumulated sediment. Minimum head loss and high resistance to clogging due to debris. Good resistance to suspended solids and poor flow control.
Manual control valve with rising plug. Very good flow control with a linear flow characteristic. Resistance to suspended solids and not recommended for use in lines with possible debris.
Automatic flow control valve that can be manually adjusted to meet different flow rates. Adapts to changing line pressure to provide a steady flow rate in the downstream piping. Not recommended for use with high viscosity fluids, fluids that contain debris or suspended solids, or fluids with high specific gravities. Accurate to +/- 6% of desired flow rate, can be field adjusted while the valve is installed.
Common Industries:
Chemical Processing, Aquariums, Mining, Water Treatment, Swimming Pools
Fluid control device used to screen out sediment from process fluids. Available with an optional clean out valve to flush accumulated solids out of the strainer port. Features a transparent body that can be used to inspect screen condition.
Common Industries:
Chemical Processing, Aquariums, Mining, Water Treatment, Landfills
All styles include two molded concentric sealing rings for confident sealing abilities. The sulfur cured rubber is made to fit with flat faced flanges and is available with either a PVDF or PTFE laminated sealing surface for aggressive chemical or high purity installations.
