Our members care for the systems that make animal care possible. We are the water quality and mechanical system professionals that move the water, design and maintain the systems, develop and distribute the products to manage the daily requirements for animals in our care at hundreds of facilities across the world. Formed in “1994” we are a 503b Trade Organization supported by the entire industry – operators to vendors, researchers to administrators as the premier professional organization dedicated to this multi-faceted discipline. If you have ever selected or maintained a pump, glued PVC pipe, adjusted an Ozonator, measured dissolved oxygen, pH or ammonia, measured flow or temperature, open or closed a valve, chances are you are less than two removed from an AALSO member!
API represents all segments of America’s natural gas and oil industry, which supports more than 11 million U.S. jobs and is backed by a growing grassroots movement of millions of Americans. Our nearly 600 members produce, process and distribute the majority of the nation’s energy, and participate in API Energy Excellence®, which is accelerating environmental and safety progress by fostering new technologies and transparent reporting. API was formed in 1919 as a standards-setting organization and has developed more than 800 standards to enhance operational and environmental safety, efficiency and sustainability.
Although our focus is primarily domestic, in recent years our work has expanded to include a growing international dimension, and today API is recognized around the world for its broad range of programs.

The primary mission of the Aquaculture Suppliers Association is to place new and existing aquaculture producers and related businesses in contact with quality and reputable aquaculture suppliers; and to provide industry suppliers with a substantive voice in all interactions with the World Aquaculture Society and US Aquaculture Society regarding the annual conference and trade show.
The American Society of Plumbing Engineers (ASPE) is the international organization for professionals skilled in the design, specification and inspection of plumbing systems. ASPE is dedicated to the advancement of the science of plumbing engineering, to the professional growth and advancement of its members and the health, welfare and safety of the public.
The AZFA is a non profit organization made up of facility professionals from aquariums, zoos and similar animal conservation facilities from across the country and abroad. Our members range from architects, engineers and management personnel, to tradesmen, animal keepers, grounds and housekeeping staff as well as other professionals that are responsible for the design, construction and maintenance of animal habitats, facilities and related equipment.
Established in 1881, the American Water Works Association is the oldest and largest nonprofit, scientific and educational organization dedicated to safe and sustainable water in the world. With more than 50,000 members worldwide and 43 Sections in North America, AWWA advances public health, safety and welfare by uniting the efforts of the entire water community.
The Chlorine Institute (CI) founded in 1924, is a technical trade association of companies involved in the safe production, distribution and use of chlorine, sodium and potassium hydroxides and sodium hypochlorite, the distribution and use of hydrogen chloride and the distribution of vinyl chloride monomer.
The International Association of Plastics Distribution (IAPD), established in 1956, brings together manufacturers, distributors, manufacturers’ representatives and service providers in an environment which encourages a free flow of ideas and information that help members build their businesses. Every program and service we provide is designed with the simple goal of helping our members increase profitability.
ISPE was founded in 1980 by a handful of people who believed the pharmaceutical industry needed an organization that would deal with practical applications of science and technology for technical professionals. Their aim was to improve efficiency and best practices. The much-needed forum provided by ISPE began with a membership of engineers in North America. In time, ISPE membership expanded beyond engineering to include a broad representation from pharmaceutical professionals, including a vital link with quality control and assurance personnel.
The Plastics Pipe Institute Inc. (PPI) is the major trade association representing all segments of the plastics piping industry. PPI members share a common interest in broadening awareness and creating opportunities that expand market share and extend the use of plastics pipe in all its many applications. As an association, PPI focuses collaborative efforts to accumulate data, concentrate facts and target resources toward advancements in applications and increases in widespread usage.
