Asahi/America, Inc., introduces the Type 57 Butterfly Valve, the newest addition to their full range of thermoplastic valves and valve accessories. The Type 57 incorporates four major design upgrades in thermoplastic valve technology.
New design features include a Flange Stopper, which prevents the valve liner from over compression. A second feature is a molded body Absorption Channel. These two design innovations work together to eliminate seat compression from effective stem torque, resulting in higher cycle life. A new revolutionary Spherical Disc provides increased flow characteristics and is less intrusive to piping systems.
The Type 57 is produced with the first all plastic gear operator; Plasgear. Plasgear is standard on 8" through 14" models and can be supplied on the complete size range if desired. The gear incorporates the latest industry standards including NAMUR top works for accessories and the worldwide recognized ISO 5211 standards (F07 &, F10, and F14) for interchangeability to industrial valves.
The Type 57 butterfly valve is manufactured in sizes from 1 ½" to 14" and is available in PVC, Polypropylene or PVDF. Manual valves are manufactured with lever or gear operators, or can be fitted with electric or pneumatic actuators.
